Spring 2024 Women In the Workplace Career Mixer

The Women In the Workplace Career Mixer provides the opportunity for students from historically underrepresented gender identities to network in a relaxed setting with Equal Employment Opportunity employers who are committed to hiring a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workforce. Participants will also have the opportunity to meet with student leaders from a variety of student organizations.
During this event you will have the opportunity to:
- Network with all years and majors student talent and affinity and identity-based student groups
- Further the future of women intensifying talent with tools and testimony to facing adversity in the worplace
- Enjoy some hors d’oeuvres!
Event Format:
6:00pm-8:00pm EST
Part 1 – Women identifying student organizations will table for the first part of the event in a reverse career fair style format. Take the opportunity to learn more about their organization and ways to get involved.
Part 2 – Students and employers will move to the theater to talk to a selected panel of employers on women in the workplace topics such as negotiating salary, handling microaggressions, and how to self-advocate as an under-represented gender.
Students are encouraged to bring their resumes. Recommended attire is business casual for students and employers.
